Temporary permits are intended for short-term needs, including guests or temporary vehicle circumstances.
Annual overnight parking permits may be issued only when all existing legal parking spaces on the owner’s property are occupied by operating vehicles, and when no additional legal parking space exists.
This does not apply to garages being used for storage instead of parking vehicles.

The following vehicles are not eligible for annual parking permits:
Commercial trucks over seven feet in width or height are not permissible per City Code 10.24.230(B).
City-Owned Parking Lots and Street Parking

Parking on public streets is available throughout the City; however, vehicles parked or left standing on a highway for 72 or more consecutive hours may be cited, towed, and stored.
Commercial vehicles may not be parked for more than five hours in residential districts, except when actively loading or unloading.
Parking regulations are enforced by the Sierra Madre Police Department in accordance with City and State law. Always review posted signage before parking.
