West Carter Avenue Road Closure

Begins the Week of August 24, 2026

Beginning the week of August 24, West Carter Avenue will be closed within the active construction area beginning at North Grove Street. The North Grove Street/West Carter Avenue intersection will be closed.

The intersections of West Carter Avenue with Oak Crest Drive and North Lima Street will remain open. North Lima Street will also remain open.

The initial closure is expected to last approximately four to five weeks for water main installation. Additional traffic restrictions may be required during subsequent storm drain work.

Metro Line 268

Metro Line 268 provides daily fixed-route bus service between El Monte Station and Sierra Madre Villa Station via Baldwin Avenue and Sierra Madre Boulevard. The route provides connections to the Metro A Line, regional bus service, Metrolink, shopping, and other destinations in the San Gabriel Valley.

Metro Micro

Metro Micro is LA Metro's on-demand shared-ride service. Sierra Madre is located within the Altadena/Pasadena/Sierra Madre service zone, allowing riders to request trips between eligible pickup and drop-off points within the zone and connect with nearby Metro bus and rail service.

$2.50 Standard base fare
$1.00 Eligible reduced fare with qualifying TAP
5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Daily service in the Altadena/Pasadena/Sierra Madre zone
