Sierra Madre Moves is an on-demand transportation program powered by Uber, providing affordable local, regional, and medical transportation options for eligible Sierra Madre residents. Eligible riders may claim Local, Regional, and Medical ride vouchers through the Uber app.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who qualifies?

Sierra Madre residents age 18 and older with an active Uber account are eligible to participate.

What does it cost?

Riders pay a $2.50 copay per eligible ride.

How do I claim vouchers?

Visit the Sierra Madre Moves webpage and select the voucher link that matches your trip type (Local, Regional, or Medical). The link will open the Uber app, where you can claim the voucher. Once claimed, eligible vouchers are automatically applied at checkout.

What destinations are included?

Local rides include destinations within Sierra Madre as well as select nearby destinations. Regional rides include approved destinations in surrounding communities. Medical rides include eligible hospitals and medical facilities. Please refer to the Service Area section above for details.

Are wheelchair accessible rides available?

Yes. Riders may select the Uber WAV option when available.

Do I need a smartphone?

No. You can request a ride in one of the following ways:

Using the Uber app (smartphone required).
By phone.

What happens if my ride exceeds the voucher amount?

Riders are responsible for any fare amount exceeding the voucher value.

Do I need to claim all three vouchers?

No. Claim only the voucher(s) that apply to the trips you plan to take.

Can I use more than one voucher type?

Yes. Eligible riders may claim and use Local, Regional, and Medical vouchers for qualifying trips.
