California Listens Project for Sierra Madre

Digital Storytelling

Sierra Madre Public Library invited the public to be part of a special two-day workshop sponsored by the California State Library. The California Listens Digital Storytelling Workshop was held on May 11-12, 2018.

In the workshop, participants made a short video on a computer. The group learned how to make a great video story, how to write a narration script and record it, how to prepare a visual treatment for a story, and the basics of video editing in WeVideo.

Sierra Madre’s digital stories were screened on September 27, 2018 at the Library and have become part of state and local archives of stories about what it means to be Californian.
