Activities, Programs and Excursions

The Hart Park House Senior Center offers a wide range of activities, programs, and special events designed to support wellness, connection, and lifelong learning for older adults in Sierra Madre. Programs are open to seniors of all abilities and interests.

Chair Yoga
Mondays & Wednesdays | 10:00–10:45 a.m.
A gentle class focused on stretching, balance, relaxation, and stress reduction. All classes are free.

Bid Whist & Open Card Play
Tuesdays | 1:00–4:00 p.m.
A fun and social afternoon of card games at the Hart Park House Senior Center. All skill levels welcome.

Tea & Talk Book Club
Wednesdays (2nd & 4th of the month) | 9:00–9:45 a.m.
A twice-monthly discussion group exploring engaging fiction and nonfiction titles.

Hula and Polynesian Dance
Beginner: Thursdays | 10:00–11:00 a.m. | Memorial Park Pavilion
Intermediate: Fridays | 10:00–11:00 a.m. | Hart Park House
Dance, movement, and cultural expression in a welcoming environment.

Blood Pressure Screening
Second Tuesday of each month | 11:30 a.m.
Free blood pressure screenings provided by Arcadia Hospital during the Senior Lunch Program.

Stay proactive about your health — all are welcome.

Senior Cinema
Wednesdays | 1:00 p.m.
Join us every Wednesday afternoon for a movie screening in a relaxed and social setting.

Film schedule includes:

  • September 3 – Sweet Girl (PG-13)

  • September 10 – Focus (PG-13)

  • September 17 – Senior Cinema

  • September 24 – We Live in Time (PG-13)

Birthday Celebrations
Fourth Tuesday of each month | 12:30–1:30 p.m.
Celebrate your birthday month with cake, ice cream, and friends.

Fall Bingo
Thursday, September 18 | 12:30–2:30 p.m.
Cost: $7
Includes lunch and prizes.

September Craft – Wine Glass Decorating
Thursday, September 11 | 1:00–3:00 p.m.
Cost: $5 (includes all supplies)
Registration required.

A hands-on creative workshop where participants decorate and take home a custom wine glass.

Senior Excursions – Coming Soon!

Group outings may include museums, markets, scenic destinations, and special attractions. Details and registration information will be shared once trips are scheduled.
