Lima Street Construction Begins August 6: Grandview Avenue to Carter Avenue

Public Works Notice

Construction on the Lima Street Water Main Replacement Project will begin Thursday, August 6, on Lima Street between Grandview Avenue and Carter Avenue.

Work will generally occur Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mainline installation is expected to take approximately two weeks.

Residents should expect temporary No Parking areas, driveway access restrictions, traffic controls, and No Through Traffic signs near the active work zone. Pedestrian and emergency access will be maintained.

Motorists who do not live in the immediate area should use an alternate route.

Scope of Work

  • Install approximately 1,440 linear feet of new 6-inch PVC water main.
  • Connect 41 new water services.
  • Install five new fire hydrants and associated valves and appurtenances.
  • Restore pavement and street striping affected by construction.

Construction Information

The project includes trenching, pipe installation, service connections, testing, final connections, pavement restoration, and striping. Construction schedules may change because of field conditions, required testing, material availability, weather, or utility coordination.
