Earthquakes

Prepare your household before an earthquake. Make a plan, organize emergency supplies and practice how to protect yourself during shaking.

During an earthquake

Drop, Cover and Hold On.

  • Drop onto your hands and knees.

  • Cover your head and neck. If a sturdy table or desk is nearby, crawl underneath it.

  • Hold On to your shelter. If there is no shelter, protect your head and neck with both arms and hands.
